I have lived in five countries on three continents and spoken eight languages with varying degrees of fluency over thirty years.
I use English, my native language, with a degree of technical perfection and stylistic elegance that is rare in our time. My Norwegian and Spanish skills are better than those of many native speakers. My vocabulary is enormous and is the result of a lifetime of enthusiastic involvement with fine literature in all three of the above-mentioned languages.
My professional experience is extensive and varied, with projects serving international businesses, including a 500,000-word technical job for Delphi Automotive Systems.
My work is a matter of pride. If your project is too important to place in the care of just anyone, I am your man.
Pricing / Other services
My translation rates are low because I work several times faster than most translators which, in addition to the high quality of my work, gets me repeat business. I charge US$0.10 per word of original text, with a minimum of US$200.00.
Some translators charge for length of text in the target language, allowing them to inflate the text using unnecessarily lengthy modes of expression and creative use of the thesaurus. Any true craftsman prides himself in efficiency and elegance, even at personal cost.
