I was a registered Canadian nurse from 1974 to 1996 in Gynecology-Surgery (Montfort Hospital, Montrel Rd, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada), then in the Heomodialysis Unit (Ottawa General Hospital, Bruyère Ave and Smyth Rd, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) and finally in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU at the Ottawa General Hospital, Smyth Rd, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). In 1996 took a voluntary lay off for personal reasons and never went back to nursing. Since then I have been a housewife but also worked on and off via certain internet platforms on academic writing, article writing and now as a freelance translator. I translated three books (via the Babelcube website) from English to French: 1) "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Treatment Guide 2nd Edition" from Ms Erica F. Verrillo in 2017, 2) a novel entitled "Tiger Lily in Bangkok" from Owen Jones in 1998 and 3) "Summary and Study Guide - Mind Over Meds" from Mr Lee Tang. As an ex registered nurse who understand, speaks and writes English just as well as French, I strongly feel I am uniquely qualified to translate medical and/or nursing texts whether they be articles, research papers, books etc.
