Translation had been part of my jobs since 1988 when I started to work for import/export trading companies, which included translating 1) news articles from Chemical Marketing Reporter, Marketletter and Scrip World Pharmaceutical News for company’s business reference, 2) technical materials e.g. product specifications, analytical methods and reports from customers for factories’ reference and vice versa sometimes; and 3) application material for pharmaceutical product registration abroad.
I started taking translation jobs in my spare time in 1997 and became a full time freelance translator in 2005. Here are some typical projects I have done so far:
- EUDG’s trade newsletter weekly digest
- The Chinese Journal of Microecology (editing from Chinese to English)
- User manuals for medical devices in terms of cardiology and anaethesia/ventilation
- Software & User Manuals for a clinical monitoring system and updates
- ICH GCP training and e-learning courses
- Software & User Manual for immunohistochemical instrument and updates
- Clinical trial articles from an international medical conference
- Understanding and Managing Customers
- GMP for pharmaceuticals production
- Site Monitoring File for pharmaceuticals
- Application documents for registration of antibiotic drugs in Southeast Asia countries (Chinese to English)
- Feasibility research on a joint venture brewery (interpretation)
