My brief resume is appended below for your kind perusal please. I shall be grateful if, in case of any extra work with you, I am given a chance to prove my efficiency.

I am a retired person and a freelance translator. Basically I am a Veterinary Graduate (DVM) from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan but I could not adjust myself in the Govt. Vety. Dept. due to my lack of affinity towards animals, so I preferred to quit after a service of only one year and joined Sultan of Oman's Land Forces, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman to start an absolutely different job. I served for 17 years in its Headquarters where, apart from normal office work, my duties also consisted of translation, proof reading and editing of documents pertaining to matters regarding expatriate personnel coming from whole the army units. This gradually became a source of earning extensive experience in these fields.

After returning to Pakistan in 1992, I joined the news section of a local Urdu daily where I translated the English news into Urdu for many years (Part Time). Having a particular flair for Classic Urdu and Punjabi literature since boyhood, I have read almost every renowned author thus gaining considerable hold on these languages. I have also completed Part 1 of Masters in English from Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan and am preparing to appear in Part 2 exams.

My native languages are Urdu and Punjabi and I can handle English/Urdu (and vice versa) translation jobs in the fields of Literature, Society and Culture, Social Sciences, Medical, Legal, News, Immigration, Livestock and Dairy, Food Industry, Journalism, Defence, Certificates/Testimonials and other general subjects.

I can also do efficient and reliable Proof Reading of documents in both these languages. I can also handle Urdu/Punjabi (Shah Mukhi) transcription projects with a high level of accuracy
