I am responsible for coordinating and managing multilingual translation projects (budget, deadline, quality) by organising, piloting and following up the work of various internal and external participants (translators, consultants, proofreaders, authors and clients) . I perform linguistic analysis of translations in reports at the different stages of a project with consultants from different countries with whom I take translation decisions. I also carry out the budgetary negotiation and management of my projects.

I also work as a freelance translator (and proof-reader) for Technicis (Paris).

My main job purpose was to provide a full range of technical documentation, accurately translated where required, to the dealer network. My responsibilities included:
•Translating, providing assistance with linguistic issues and monitoring the quality of documentation.
•Ensuring compliance with Block Exemption regulations by organising the translation and provision of a full range of technical documentation to the Network, independent sector and various publishers.
•Managing the Technical Documentation budget
•Production of vehicle handbooks, training documentation for the UK market.
•Assisting with key department projects and co-ordinating Technical Dept activity regarding new vehicle launches.

I worked freelance at Fieldwork International Ltd (medical research company) translating medical questionnaires, texts and transcribing and translating taped interviews. I have also worked as a Translations Coordinator and been involved in quality monitoring of interviews with medical professionals one day per week (until the end of May) in the same company.
I also worked as a freelance translator (and proof-reader) for SDL International

Responsibilities included:
•Interpreting for Housing Officers and customers into French and English on a regular basis.
•Working as a receptionist, dealing with customers’ enquiries, advising on housing matters, referring customers to various people and sections within Housing Services. Being a complaints officer, dealing with customers’ and Council members’ complaints.

Auxiliary Nurse, British Nursing Association, Ashford Hospital, UK. Oct 1995 to Dec 1998 (vacation job). June 1999 to Dec 2000
Main responsibilities involved providing the various basic nursing care to patients in wards. I gained experience in working in a hectic environment where teamwork was essential. I also worked in the outpatient’s clinic. I dealt with appointments, assisted the consultants and did various administrative tasks.
