Although graduated in Engineering, I was always fond of studying foreign languages. My interested in such studies began when she was 13 years old and started studying English and French in special language schools in Brazil.
After reconsidering my career as engineer, I decided to try something new, and an interpretation course in the U.S.A. showed how deep my interest in working with foreign languages was. In 1999, the opportunity to work for a translation agency in Brazil was a decisive first step for my new career. I worked there for two and half years.
The work at this agency allowed me to develop her translation skills and to learn a lot about translations and the industry.
In 2001, when the company moved to another neighborhood, I decided to become a freelancer translator.
Besides translating texts, websites and documents of different subjects, such as technical manuals, student thesis, contracts, movie scripts, standard & guidelines, commercial newsletters, software information, among so many other amazing and incredible unique subjects, I also engaged herself in translating subtitles. After a special course, in 2003, she started translating subtitles for TV and DVD.
