Professional experience
• From 2000 to date:
Independent technical translator, in collaboration with my wife, for the sailing industry and marine professions specialised in the fields of navigational electronics (GPS, radar, depth sounders, etc.), marine radio, marine construction, rigging, fittings, engines, production of energy, weather, nautical guides, etc. Automobile and transport technology, and environment and energy technology complete these specialised fields of work

• From 1981 to 1999
Creation and management of Accastillage Diffusion Toulouse SARL (ships chandlers) which, in 1986, took over the company Comptoir Catalan d’Accastillage in Perpignan to create the Accastillage Diffusion point of sale in Canet Plage
I developed this company which, at the beginning, I ran on my own. On ceding my shares when I left the company it had 9 employees on the two sites.
Starting from supplying fittings, I developed several areas within the firm:
- An exclusive Volvo Penta, Yanmar and Suzuki Outboard concession
- A Bénéteau concession for the Toulouse region
- An agency for the Naval Hydrographic and Oceanographic Department
- Rigging crimping and mast fitting
- A mechanical workshop: commissioning and repairing marine engines
- Maintenance and repair work in the Ramonville Saint-Agne yards including managing the technical services harbour on the Canal du Midi and in Canet Plage.

1996 to 2002
Participated as a yacht and pleasure boat expert in tourist engineering surveys by Adoc consultants (Toulouse):
- Sailing centres for the urban district of Vannes and in the Gulf of Morbihan

- Setting up the Calvados marine industry network

Moved the Accastillage Diffusion Toulouse head office to the Parc Technologique du Canal on the Canal du Midi side, set up the technical services harbour, managed boat handling, the maintenance area and the dry-dock (45 m long)
From 1986 to 1990
Selected the range of electronic products and participated in the preparation of the Accastillage Diffusion catalogue. I was responsible, with the representatives of other franchises, for producing the range of products and drawing up and designing the Accastillage Diffusion catalogue
