Following successful careers in hotel management and hospitality systems, I established my own company to take up position as documentation writer and help systems developer for Siemens. After authoring bilingual user guides and co-ordinating their further translation into 17 other languages, I migrated to the translation industry as an independent operator.

My rates are usually calculated per 1000 words of source text; 130 Euro, 150 USD, 1200 NOK, 100 GBP or similar. I invoice regular clients on the last day of each month, and accept payments through PayPal as well as SWIFT transfer. No volume discounts are offered - but I'll consider a favourable rate if the work is particularly interesting (hi-tech, cutting edge). Usual Trados discounts granted when applicable.
