Career / Experience

I am a Brazilian Portuguese native speaker, experienced in translation between English and Brazilian Portuguese. I have been working on translation academic projects in connection with the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) since 2014, where I am an undergraduate student of Languages and Literature (Portuguese - English).

I had been a scholarship translator for a collaboration project between the Faculty of Letters of UFRJ and the EMC2 Corp., where I did the translation of collaboration agreements, civil engineering audit reports, accounting audit reports, and other documents on administration area.

Currently, I am engaged as a member of a research group doing research on specialised translation in Brazil since the turning of the century. As part of this project, I recently translated an article by Roberto Mayoral Asensio, about specialised translation, which has been approved for publishing.

Between the areas of which I am experienced, I would highlight accounting, civil engineering, academic papers, website localisation (particularly WordPress and Joomla), literature, IT, contracts / agreements on administration, and subtitling.

I believe that my natural curiosity is also a natural ally which helps me doing better the work I love better, as it is, the translation work.
