I am a freelance translator and occasional interpreter with thirteen years' experience. Prior to this I taught languages for many years and also have experience in PR, journalism and marketing. I have a Masters degree in Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies which I took in 2009 - 2010 to enable me to change career.
Over the last thirteen years I have translated many texts in the fields of art, museums and architecture; press articles and journalistic texts; marketing, advertising and press releases; academic articles; tourism; politics and current affairs. I also have experience in literary translation and have translated over 200 short stories from French and some children's stories from Spanish. I have translated a 40,000 word book about the Palace of the Popes in Avignon and some shorter books.
I also have experience in translating reports for NGOs on development issues, immigration, unemployment, disability, gender equality and climate change.
