English > Japanese: Illustrated book (Japanese pop culture) of about 190 pages
I have an illustrated book of about 190 pages (ca. 30 manuscript pages at 1800 characters each including spaces).
It is a trip through contemporary Japanese pop culture.
The texts mainly consist of short interpretations of visual topics (e. g. Pachinko) which are presented on double pages.
Plus, there are some simple captions and a preface.
Please find an example below.
The texts exist both in English and in German and are revised. The language used is often metaphoric and some parts are colloquial. A Japanese native speaker with an excellent command of English would be an ideal translator, thus.
I would NOT need a word-by-word translation but a translation which reflects the meaning, escpecially of the metaphors.

(EN) There is always a lot to fix in the earthquake-ridden
metropolis and its construction crews ensure that nobody
is taking a lapse - gently apologizing for disturbance and
rewarding with such joyful design it makes you want to
