Rosa (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

French > English

Subject:

Medical

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

mm / MI

Context:

Drapeau rouge
signe compression : symp bilat, hyprreflexie, spasme mm bilat MI, perte conscience corporelle MI

I get that this is a bilateral spasm but unsure how mm and MI fit in, and then MI again with some sort of loss of body awareness
(wondering if mm = muscles? and MI = motricité?)

MI = membre inférieur/lower limb

My comment:

mm likely means "musculaire" (muscular/muscle) to qualify "spasme", so:
spasme mm bilat MI = lower-limb muscle spasme
perte conscience corporelle MI = loss of lower-limb body consciousness
