Language pair:

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

toxiques

Context:

*Traitement
[liste des médicaments]

* Toxiques
Buvait 3 verres par jour, pas actuellement
Pas d'autre toxique

* Anamnèse, histoire pondérale

Is this just "toxins"? Are they referring to the patient's former alcohol consumption/problems? I haven't seen this on a medical report before

[here] toxicants / toxic substances

My comment:

NB (!) cf https://www.dictionnaire-medical.fr/definitions/465-toxique/

NB (!) toxicant or toxic substance vs. toxin
cf https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxicant#:~:text=A%20toxicant%20is%20any%20toxic,soil%2C%20water%2C%20or%20food.
cf https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxin

toxin => def. as complex usually unstable substance that is a metabolic product of a living organism as a bacterium
cf Webster Encycl. Dict.)
