My comment:

"ait" - subjunctive present IIIrd person of "avoir". I mean the sentence is so poetic that it has no sence!!!

I perfectly know the conjugations, that's why I went to school. However, Literaty translation (from French into English) frightens me because it's the first time I get such combination. This is a challenge for me and I want to learn from this experience and your advice instead of receiving mocks and cursing from you or any other person. Look at my age and compare yours.
