"Welche Laus ist Dir über die Leber gelaufen" wird meistens als (erkundigende, gutgemeinte) Frage verwendet.
Obige Übersetzung versucht den deutschen Sprachryhthmus nachzuahmen.
Slang (klingt besser): "Got the wrong dope?"

you can safely use any of these suggestions with the only limitation being the "context" and "style" (formal, informal) of the text.

Rather than copying even more possibilities, I gave you a few tips on how to find such translations.

In Google for (spell everything as I do, including the quotes):

"Laus über die Leber gelaufen" English

Es waere besser, den ganzen Satz zu haben, aber Sie koennen das ja entsprechend anpassen. Z.B. "He's acting as if someone had eaten his lunch".
